What a day for Odell Beckham Jr.! Big play OBJ was crucial in the win against the ravens snagging a 75 yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter as well as a 66 yard catch and run score on 4th and 1 within the final 2 minutes to seal the deal for the Giants. On a day when starting running back Rashad Jennings and back up Bobby Rainey combined to rush for 28 yards on 15 carries, the offence relied heavily upon Eli Manning and the leg of kicker Josh Brown. Brown hit his 2 field goals in the 2nd half and Manning had a solid showing despite throwing 2 interceptions. His 403 yards and 3 tds helped his team earn the win and gave him his 100th regular season win. The defence, lead by safety Landon Collins 10 tackles and sack, were able to hold Joe Flacco to 26/48 and 307 yards passing, but the important stat – 0 touchdowns through the air. As for the Ravens, this loss has to hurt. After starting the season off strong at 3-0, the Ravens have dropped the last 3 games. While the offence had some solid contributions this game with Mike Wallace snagging 4 catches for 97 yards and Terrance West rushing 23 times for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns, only 13 points were put on the board in the second half after they put up 10 in the first quarter alone. Ravens fans also probably weren’t too happy with no touchdowns through the air. Despite defensive backs Tavon Young & Will Davis picking off Manning each once, the 2 long touchdowns to OBJ ultimately overpowered the turnovers as the Giants were able to come away with a hard fought win. The Ravens will visit the New York Jets next week in a matchup that they should find favourable. The Giants go across the country to face the LA Rams which will be a game that will be closer than people expect.
